Showing some 450 works of Russian art, dating from the tenth to the nineteenth centuries, belonging to twenty-five local museums, as well as a unique exhibit from the collection of the Louvre – shoulder decoration (armilla), depicting the scene of the "Resurrection – Descent into Hell", which, as historians believe, was part of the ceremonial dress of Prince Andrei Bogoliubski.
The majority of these works were shown at the Louvre (Paris) at the exhibition "Holy Russia", set up as part of the cultural program "The Year France – Russia, 2010". Bringing together a large number of early Russian icons, illuminated books, monumental painting, pieces of silver and gold, figurative embroidery and other works, the Paris show, for the first time, gave an opportunity to the European public to fully appreciate the singular beauty of the spiritual and artistic culture of Old Rus'.

The State Literature Museum situated in Highly Petrovsky Monastery, erected at the end of XVII century in the style of Moscow Baroque. Museum opened it's doors in 1934.
Vladimir Bonch-Bruevich was the founding father of the museum - he initiated its creation and was its first director. Museum Collection was emphesized on the works of leading Russian Avangardists.
Exhibition was dedicated to his 140th birth anniversay.
Design concept was influenced by work of leading Russian Constructivist El Lisitzky for exhibition space at the 1929 "Film and Photography" exhibition in Stuttgart

The first Moscow Architecture Biennale, was dedicated to mass housing. Detailing the updated General Plan of Moscow Development up to 2025.
